Antique 1920s Baby Shirt Hand Embroidered Batiste Heirloom Sewing Pintucks
Beautiful antique infant shirt/short gown, dating approximately to the 1920s–1930s. Made from fine, lightweight semi-sheer white cotton batiste or lawn. Lovely heirloom-sewing details include narrow pintucks at the shoulders, delicate lace/crocheted edging, drawn-thread/hemstitch openwork, and a hand-embroidered floral vine in pink, green and yellow down the front. Antique condition with expected age-related wear, including old white-on-white hand mending near the front neckline, scattered small spots/discoloration and minor wear; please review photos. A wonderful piece for heirloom-sewing study or inspiration, antique textile display, photography/props, historical sewing reference, or careful repurposing.
