【Brand New, Unused】Matsuda Wagasa Shop Kanazawa Wagasa Red Ban-gasa Japanese Attire Pre-wedding Photoshoot Wedding Ceremony Photography Prop
This is a Japanese umbrella from the long-established Kanazawa shop Matsuda Wagasa Ten.
It was a gift, but I am listing it as I have no opportunity to use it.
■Condition
・Brand new, unused
・Opening and closing mechanism works without issue
・No noticeable scratches or dirt from storage (※Please check the photos for details)
■Features
・A traditional Japanese umbrella made with traditional techniques
・Delicate and beautiful finish using Japanese paper and bamboo
・A piece that will stand out not only with Japanese attire but also as interior decor or a prop for photoshoots
■Brand & Background
Founded in 1896.
Matsuda Wagasa Ten, which has continued to protect the tradition and techniques of Kanazawa Japanese umbrellas, is the only remaining specialty store for Kanazawa Japanese umbrellas among the 118 umbrella shops that existed at its peak.
Currently, the techniques are passed down by skilled artisans, centered around the third-generation owner, Shigeki Matsuda.
It takes over two months to complete a single Japanese umbrella, with all processes carefully finished by hand.
This is a piece filled with the value of tradition and craftsmanship, unlike mass-produced items.
■Example Uses
・Going out in kimono/yukata
・Pre-wedding photoshoots/photo weddings
・Shop displays and interior decor
・Props for stage performances, events, and photoshoots
■Additional Information
・Each item will be carefully packed and shipped individually.
・Umbrellas are sold individually.
・Discounts are available for bulk purchases, so please comment if you wish to purchase multiple.
As this is a traditional craft, please only purchase if you understand that there may be individual differences and variations in texture.
