This is a black tomesode from the Showa period.
It features a paulownia family crest and is made to a user-friendly size.
The flowing noshi (gift ribbon) pattern and flying crane motifs create a dynamic and gorgeous design. The crane's feathers are embroidered.
The combination of noshi, which celebrates human connections, and cranes, symbolizing marital harmony, is perfect for weddings.
It is not particularly old, and the lining is clean and neat, but there is some sun fading on the outer fabric.
