Black Formal Kimono Antique Booklet Crest
This is an antique *kurotomesode* (formal black kimono for married women). The family crest is the *katabami* (wood sorrel) crest.
The design features flowers overflowing from a scroll, creating a vibrant and beautiful pattern.
The colorful hem pattern, typical of antiques, and the red silk lining of the sleeves are very charming.
It has ample *hibiki* (interlining for kimono sleeves and collars), and the fact that the *hibiki* is filled with *fukimomen* (a type of padding) is also a nice detail.
We have paired it with an antique *maru obi* (a wide, formal obi). It is also possible to purchase them as a set.
The base color seems slightly faded, and the *hibiki* is not pure white, so it may be difficult to wear this to a wedding.
We recommend it for hobby gatherings, photo shoots, and similar occasions.
