Yoshikazu Sakamoto Copperplate Mezzotint "Cold Village" 57/60 Master of Quiet Winter Scenery Exquisite Piece
Koichi Sakamoto's mezzotints are copperplate prints characterized by their velvety deep blacks and delicate tonal gradations (gray gradients).
While he created many winter scenes, the serenity of this particular work is outstanding.
The artwork itself is beautiful, but there is slight fading due to sun exposure.
There are traces of tape marks. (Photos 5 through 8 were taken with the artwork removed from the frame.) The frame itself also shows signs of wear. (See the last photo.)
Despite being a masterpiece, we are offering it at a lower price considering the condition of the frame and other factors.
Thank you for your understanding.
Frame dimensions: 59cm x 44cm
Artwork dimensions: 29cm x 17.5cm
(Please excuse any minor discrepancies.)
