About Yoshiro Oda's Copperplate Etchings:
These are prints with the charm of original artworks, meticulously finished one by one by hand-engraving, hand-printing, and hand-coloring. The characteristic of Yoshiro Oda's etchings lies in the fact that the artist has his own studio and handles all processes himself. Therefore, each print possesses the charm of an original with subtle differences in printing and coloring, and is highly regarded as being equivalent to the original artwork. For example, during the hand-printing process of etching, ink is manually applied to the copperplate and then pressed for each print. We often receive the question, How many prints can you make with one ink application? The answer is, one print at a time.
