⚜️ Junko Kitano

Born 1958. Illustrator.
Born in Tokyo. Pisces. Blood type O.

After graduating from the Faculty of Education at Tokyo Gakugei University,
she worked on illustrations at an educational publishing company
before becoming a freelance illustrator.

She specializes in illustrations with
fantastical motifs such as angels, fairies, and spirits,
using watercolor pencils.

In addition to art books, she has also worked on
cover illustrations for authors' books,
CD jackets, posters, and jigsaw puzzle illustrations,
active in many fields.

Besides drawing, she also writes poetry, essays,
and travelogues.

Received the Sanrio Art Prize in 1985.
