Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin and the Fountain of the Bees (Print)

This artwork depicts the Fontana del Bizzaccheri with the Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin in Rome as the background.

The fountain was created by the architect Francesco Carlo Bizzaccheri (1655-1721) and is a real structure.
This is a work by the Italian printmaker Piero Barbieri, and judging by the texture of the lines and coloring, it appears to be an etching with hand-coloring.

This piece was purchased by my father-in-law in Italy 30 to 40 years ago, and the frame was custom-made in Japan.
