Calligraphy (Gosenpitsu) - Tanzaku

Hello.
This is a listing for our product.

● Origin
Gosenpitsu refers to things like a brush bestowed by a head priest or a strip of paper written by a grand master of the tea ceremony. It is said to be a word that indicates that the writing is not just ink on paper, but the handwriting of a noble person who is an object of respect.

It appears that books related to the 550th anniversary of the Restoration Founder Nippo (Sojun) Zen Master of Myoshin-ji, which is written on something like the bookmark in the photo, were also published around 1997. This appears to be a Gosenpitsu related to that series of events (researched by the seller).
