This is a protective tool for Iai-do swords (both real and practice) to prevent rattling of the tsuba (hand guard) and loosening of the koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard).

Prevents loosening of the koiguchi that can occur when carrying an Iai-do sword.
Using this on a new Iai-do sword will help keep the koiguchi from loosening for a longer period.
