This is likely an early Shiraoi wood carved bear, produced before the war.
Early wood carved bears from Shiraoi Town are characterized by the use of lead for the eyes, offering a different charm compared to Yakumo or Asahikawa styles.

I have cherished this piece as part of my collection, but I wish to pass it on to someone who will appreciate it.
